Ila Mawana is an 8-piece original reggae movement.  With elements of dub and old school roots iLa Mawana has its own distinctive sound and positive message that brings a unique and powerful energy to every live concert. Touring through the college market in the Northeast over the past two years, iLa Mawana has been committed to bringing people together and spreading positive energy around campus.  Dubbed “One of the best roots/jam bands coming out of Boston” -Ingenious Concepts, the band released a self-titled EP immediately put on rotation on the popular college station 88.9 FM -- WERS Rockers, the Emerson University reggae show.  The iLa family has been honored to share the stage with well-known acts including 2009 Grammy Winner Burning Spear, The Original Wailers, Toubab Krewe, Groundation, and Passafire.
